Melina and JC were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in high school. It was a winter day after school and JC was on his way to soccer practice when he stopped to say say hi to a friend. His friend then introduced him to Melina, whom he had never seen on campus before. They both said hi and left it at that. A week later they both attended their schools winter ball dance and that’s where they really noticed each other. Melina knew that JC was the one when they started dating in high school, she even told her mother that JC is the one she is going to marry. JC didn’t realize this until Melina moved to San diego for college, how much he loved her and couldn’t imagine his life without her.
After 9 years of courtship JC decided to surprise Melina. They are both avid runners, competitive avid runners, so when JC kept running alongside Melina, she knew something was up. As they made their way to the car, he asked if they can go down to the beach for a little bit. They made their way to the beach and Melina, not knowing what JC was really planning on doing, kept taking pictures of the beautiful day. JC kept the conversation flowing talking about their relationship and their future and once Melina turned around she found him down on one knee with a ring in his hand. She was completely shocked and incredibly happy.
They are definitely one of the best dressed couples and I loved how the colors worked so well with the greenery and the architecture. The session was full of smiles, love and amazing chemistry between these two and I had a great pleasure in capturing their love and smiles. I can’t to document their wedding later this week, but for now here are few of my favorites from their session.
